Children age five or younger with reoccuring
middle ear infections were given chiropractic adjustments to
the upper cervical (neck) region. The results were
favorable with 93% of all episodes improved, 75% in 10 days or
fewer and 43% with only one or two chiropractic
adjustments. Froehle RM. Ear Infection: A
retrospective study examining improvement from chiropractic
care analyzing for influencing factors. J. Manipulative Physiol Ther. 1996 May-Apr;
19(3): 169-77.
A study was performed of 332 children who presented with
diagnosed otitis media, ages 27 days to 5 years. The
results indicate that there is a strong correlation between
the chiropractic adjustment and the resolution of otitis media
in this study. Fallon, J. The
Role of the Chiropractic Adjustment in the Care and Treatment
of 332 Children with Otitis Media. J of Clinical
Chiropractic Pediatrics. 1997 2(2):
167-183.
